In January 2017, we just wanted to get access to the climbing wall at the local high school to keep winter stoke high. Then in July 2017 we became an incorporated society with the following purposes:
1) To promote recreational climbing in northwest BC.
2) To promote safety in climbing activities.
3) To submit recommendations to the government and private agencies in respect to the preservation, development and extension of climbing recreational areas.
4) To promote and preserve access to recreational climbing in northwest BC.
We host weekly “Caledonia Climb Nights” during the spring and winter months. With heaps of interest and great turnouts, we're really happy to see newbies and experienced climbers on the wall. For the summer months we head outdoors and host community events, workshops and climb, climb, climb!
We usually have monthly potluck meetings to discuss and plan our next steps as a society. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings and check us out!
